The contact form

When you use the form, Swirl receives your name, email address, subject and message, and your company’s name when you request a Swirl Cloud demo. These details are stored to handle your inquiry and reply to you. They are not displayed publicly or used for marketing.

Storage and email

Inquiries are stored privately on our hosting infrastructure and recorded as leads in Odoo, the customer relationship management system that Swirl operates on that same infrastructure. When email notifications are configured, your contact details and message are also transmitted through Resend (or Microsoft Exchange Online if configured) to contact@swirlit.dev. You can always contact this address directly.

Live chat

The chat starts only when you select “Chat with us”. It opens in a window served by our Odoo at odoo.swirlit.dev, operated by Swirl on its own infrastructure. Chloé, our chat assistant, asks for your email address so we can answer you even after you leave; your messages are kept in Odoo and your request is recorded as a lead. New messages are emailed to our team through Resend. If you have left the site, our answer is emailed to the address you gave, and your reply to that email is added to the conversation. Odoo then sets the cookies the conversation needs (session and language) on odoo.swirlit.dev and keeps the conversation in your browser’s storage for that site. This site only remembers, for the current tab, that you opened the chat so it can bring the conversation back.

Spam protection

The form uses a hidden anti-bot field, submission timing and request limits. Request limits use temporary hashed identifiers instead of storing your IP address in contact records. Request limits use short windows of up to one hour. IPv6 addresses from the same network share a limit. Expired identifiers are deleted when a subsequent valid new submission is processed; site-wide daily counters contain no visitor identifier.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your contact information and chat conversations by writing to contact@swirlit.dev. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

Cookies and trackers

The portfolio does not set cookies or load advertising or analytics trackers. It only remembers, in your browser’s local storage, whether you chose the light or dark theme. Fonts, images and scripts are hosted with the site. The contact form sends your information only when you submit it. The chat stores what it needs only once you open it, as described above. No cookie consent banner is needed for these features. The Swirl Cloud link opens a separate service with its own privacy rules.
